AHB trip to play RUB at Tangimoana 23 to 25 Oct 15 - Part Two - PM
Now, we were expecting a couple of reinforcements on Saturday morning, but BJ in his infinite wisdom decided to injure his back the day before,
even copious amounts of alcohol and anti pain pills failed to dull the pain nor improve the injury, so it meant he couldn't attend nor bring his passenger Liam.

After our Picnic lunch by the babbling Stream by the Rest Area. AHB was reinforced with three 'unpatched' RuB Core members.
And once again we were sent 'up the line' and reported to the 'Contractors Wanted' Knoll, and negotiated a mission to attack the Datsun Base once again, and take out the Juggernaut at that base. If some accurate shots hit his panel on the front it would explode and disable the Juggy, then it had to be neutralised to get the Armour off and it's Bandoleer. We could then take them back to the Knoll and get more Hi Cap mags and Beebs.
Our little force moved up to the small hill before the base and then came under fire by the Juggy's defending Squad. Our team spread out and
after a few casualties, started to put accurate fire on the Base, and started to cull out the defenders. We began to close in...the Juggy was roaming about receiving lots of hits...finally we shot out all the defenders leaving only the Juggy...then he moved out of the base to attack us...suddenly a couple of accurate shots into his Panel, (and two of four full cans of beers exploded after being hit sending a couple of geysers of Pale Ale into the air),
and the Juggy was immobilised, Stag rushed in and bought the Juggy to the ground and with a head lock, held and neutralised the Juggy.
After clearing the Base, we returned to the Knoll, and received more mags and Beebs, as well as EVT, for the successful mission.
Next mission was a walk deeper into the forest to find Black Base. THis was a long Base with a lot of corflute plastic for walls.
Again our forces deployed and we started to search for weak points of the base. Lots of gun fights broke out. THe right flanking force got right around to the Bases 3 O'Clock and started to hammer them, as well as the left force, only a short while after the base was ours...
Replenished and a short break and we made our way towards another Fortification, and initally slow, with the inevitable casualties, once again our concentrated firepower culled out the defenders.
Finally we moved to our last Objective...Datsun Base... again, this time from behind.
A number of defenders were outside the Base, so this attack took some time to first cull the outside defenders, then we could attack the actual base.
This took some time, and was a fantastic battle. Finally taken, and we headed back to the rest Area and whence from their back to base Camp in the Jeep.

Back to Camp, to tidy up, get ready for next day, and a few Beersies...the fires were lit again, a number of Fireworks were set off as it got dark, the usual explosions from the fires...rubbish scattered everywhere...a typical Rub Core party once again

Jock had been given a 3 unfired Firework 'Mortar' Rounds to get rid of. So he got them wired, and with a cylinder of wood in front of him, and a pair of Safety Glasses.
He fired the first charge..BOOOOM! Fireballs shooting everywhere...cooool!!! How noone got hit I'll never know...then the 2nd and finally the 3rd charge....
awesome explosions and fireball all over the place...great fun.
Frog shouted us Home Kill chops, chicken nibbles, sausages, patties and Onions for tea...yum yum...thanks Frog & Amy...
Jaybee started cooking with Wasp helping cutting, etc...
All too soon and the Boys were wolfing down the feed (no salad to be seen!!!). More fun with RUB Core followed.
Stag and Wasp retired earlish so to be ready for the next big day. Sometime during the night, some Lightsticks came out with Rub decorating themselves
with Light Sticks of various types, then it is rumoured that Frog and Amy threw a lightstick at each other, and then it hit someone...then it was all on...
then there were Light Sticks being thrown everywhere and things got real rough.
Jaybee was being cool with his Strobe Light during all the fun.
Two grenades were shoved into Wasp and Stags tent, lucky only one exploded...BOOOMMMM! (thanks Guys
( ), as the 2nd one had landed next to Stags head.'
Jaybee got to bed around 3.00am, Frog got to bed by 5.30am...
Next morning, up by 8, get gear ready for day, cook Brekkie...mmmmm...Bacon....mmmm...plus leftover meat from night before...mmm...
It was also noticed when Buelly turned up that he had a massive burn line across his face, starting low on his chin across his face
(luckily he had been wearing safety glasses) across his eye and ending at his Forehead. As part of the evenings fun, a lightstick had caught fire and it's contents had emptied out across Beuelly's face. Ouch! (Hope it's O.K. now mate?).
Tenteage was pulled down and camp gear packed as it would be home time once the afternoon games had finished.
Then we were ready to roll...except Frog who decided to go back to bed for some reason...
