The day started off overcast, warm and humid, and ended hot and clear out at AHB 1 Puketapu. But 13 Airsofters arrived to do battle, regardless of the heat.
Once the signing in and getting gear ready was complete, Torak gave the first briefing, and also had bought his camera to take the pics shown in this Topic and on Facebook...awesome mate!!!
First game was Force Back, with 6 players per side. Stag commanding one side and Jimbo the other.
Stag's team was down the far end and steadily pushed forward using bite and hold tactics, whilst Jimbo's team valiantly tried to stem the biting, with a little bit of to and froing, they were slowly forced back and had limited
space to manoeuver at the end by their respawn point. Stags team pushed the flag forward to win.
10 min break and grudge match with teams swopping ends. After a while, once again Stag found the Achilles heal of Jimbo's team and restricted the movement forward on their left flank, they could only go the long way around on the Right flank to have any space, and were then hemmed in by Stags left flank guard. After some desperate fighting Stag got reinforcements in on his flank and pushed the flag through to win again.
Next game after break, was VC Trail with the Attackers also having to defend Torak the Journalist. Josh, Leon, and 2 more were defenders, and set up some good ambushes. Several engagements were fought, with Josh finding trees were good places to shoot from...until he was spotted...
Final game was Blow up the Village. With Jimbo, Wasp and Torak defending the Village and everyone else attacking.
Another fun game, with the Attackers slowly getting closer, but not quite coordinating their attacks well enough to take out the defenders and getting their bomb in. But all great fun with top sportsmanship throughout the day.
Looking forward to Block Wars...
