NEW CQB AIRSOFT SITE: "The Infirmary"After a period of discussions with the Site owner, manager, local council, and police; we have secured an agreement which will allow us to utilise the old
Waipukurau Hospital as an Airsoft CQB venue. We are looking at several options around how we utilise the site, including full overnight access, and some accomodation options for larger events.
After a few more visits we should have a better idea of what more can be accomplished there. Then, with the involvement of the owner, we are tentatively optimistic we can extend access to the greater airsoft community.
The site contains several multi-story large buildings. The primary gaming buildings have access to all floors, and clear line-of-fire/line-of-sight between building windows (currently without glass). The core structure of the buildings is concrete. Here's a sampling of what we're working with:
Clearly there is still some substantial work required on the site, but with the recent loss of other tailor-made CQB venues, we think we have something pretty special available to us.
