So the Detonator slides (.40 S&W and .45 ACP) for the XD(M) were just but up on eHobby.

OMG WTF BBQ... yes, that says $240 USD... for a slide and an outer barrel. To put that into perspective, for $28 LESS, you can get a full hurricanE kit for a 1911 (http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/hurricane-kbr-custom-covert-ii-conversion-kit-for-marui-meu.html)

That is the prototype of the slide above, before the applied the black finish. (i.e. that should be bare aluminium.)

I assume if they did an actual silver version the finish would be different, but regardless yes, the two-tone look is friggen sexy.

This is more like it. Den Trinity are listing XDm slides by Shooters Design for $151... a lot more reasonable than the Detonator slides.
