Sweet bro, lookin good. I like the padded belt too. So would you wear that over your pants? i.e have 1X duty belt to hold up your pants and the other as first line?
Title: Re: Loadouts/Kits/General cool airsoft stuff you have.
Post by: Eightball on June 15, 2010, 03:07:16 pm
Probably go the two-belt route. Especially with so much on the 1st line.

If I end up with a plate carrier at some stage, I'll probably lighten up the first line...

At the moment you're 'experimenting'. Pretty soon after your first game, your fate will be sealed... and you will be as corrupted as we already are  ;)

My Mrs happily takes photos, but when i suggest the idea of some 'maraekakastan' style action shots with other dudes, she's all... "That is so gay"

At which point I call in an airstrike to smoke her insurgent ass

rofl - I thought you were going to say, "but when i suggest the idea of some airsoft bedroom style action" - as far as I can tell nothing wrong with action possing shots, the girls do it in every photo they get taken anyways.

Nice to see you got new lowers so you can run both uppers Porkster
Title: Re: Loadouts/Kits/General cool airsoft stuff you have.
Post by: Porky on June 29, 2010, 04:00:03 pm
Hell yeah the M4 lower arrived today along with an ICS Version 2 anti reversal latch for the M16. So both have a working foward assist to release the springs. Fun part of the morning was taking apart both gear boxes. 1 to install the anti reversal latch in the M16 and 2 rewiring the M4 mech box to rear wiring so can put the battery in the stock. All I am wating on now are some XT60 connecters to install in both to replace the deans!

Got out my gear this afternoon to get everything squared away for tomorrow, planned on taking a few photos of my kit while I was at it. Turned out someone else was more interested in it...

Well I was thinking of buying some Cat Crap anyway... but I don't think it's meant to be applied to multicam.

My Mk18 Mod1 WIP continued...

I've changed the foregrip for a G&P Replica of the TangoDown QD grip and added some G&P rubber Ladder rail covers, which are surprisingly comfortable.

From the few rounds we put through the chrono at Porky's house, it was shooting 390-400FPS on 0.20g BBs... Plenty enough power.

@Jay. Starting to look the part bro, nice. My one critic would be to start buying up the same type of stuff. You're looking very manycam in the pics mate. Its always good to see guys buying gear though awesome.

@nick. Hey bro good choice, will be a tricky one to pull off. Not meaning to rain on parades, but do you think it might be better to get your first set of cams etc in something more suited to AHB's general structure? ACU UCP, oldschool woodland, even MC. That way some of the events we will be running in the future allow for you to slot in without having to buy extra gear etc.

If you're looking for something to suit the AK, I would totally be going for afgan talib. Infact Porky, 8ball and myself are on our way to dirty goat herder looks.

If your heart is set on spetnas though, go for it.

Glock feels great good kick and sounds angry when shot too haven't done a full on accuracy test as yet that to come when I chrono it. Mags all sealed good.

Yeap, ordered on Wednessday last week and arrived yesterday (Tuesday :P) total cost for 2 Name Tapes 2 Branch Tapes and the rank insignia (all with velcro backing) came to 29.99.

Would be cheaper if you get a package (which I will when it comes to my ACU order.

Good quality from what I can tell (never had any from anywhere else so cna't compare) just a few loose threads to tidy up but nothing major.

I think the 1911A1 and the MEU are the only ones that come with a box liner, and not just the black styrene.

i Am indeed. Gonna do up a nice custom 1911 and slap it in a brown leather shoulder holster too. Suit pants, waist coat, tie, and ofcourse a fedora hat. Or Warrens suggestion of white singlet (would be alot breezier) Will also use it for a WWII kit too.

Nice one bro, at least its not cluttered at all! :P

I'm kidding... there's a couple of pieces there that I wouldn't mind for my kit, like a VIP strobe, and maybe another multitool... a MUT or Wave maybe...

Your Blaster is scarey... wtf is that thing on the front pretending to be a silencer? Nice 951 btw
Title: Re: Loadouts/Kits/General cool airsoft stuff you have.
Post by: terence12 on December 21, 2010, 01:24:48 am
its not that cluttered lol its a do it yourself chuck norris kit
was thinking of building an iar but the damn collar bit is tightened to the point even heating does nothing! so i use the silence to hide the inner barrel until i get that thing off..

multitools are cheap atm

cool Ill get them to fix up your membership. We should have a thread for ASNZ - AHB rules recommendations at some point, mainly:

Be careful abvut what you ask on ASNZ there are alot of forum troll who like nothing better than flaming(basiclly abusing) you posts if you are new to the scene, they think they are hardcore oldschool airsoft, but they are not. Take them with a grain of salt as in real life most are pretty decent they just grow huge balls in virtual world.

Take the forums and comments with a grain of salt, there is alot of political manuvering and bull[sand] from a few that spoil it for the many. Dont take anything personal and dont get dragged into a "flame War"

Enjoy.

Welcome :P

My Latest Acquisition. A VFC SR-635.

Chrono'd this afternoon at 302FPS on 0.25s, with a variance of approximately 2FPS!... so very consistant compression. It feels great to shoot, and on my backyard range, I dialled in the hop, zeroed it, and was getting really good POA/POI (Point of Aim/Point of Impact) out of it. The Magpul PMag Ms feed flawlessly in it, so having 6+1 of them is a bonus. I also get to use my old QD Silencer as well... which cuts some of the top end sharpness out of firing. I'm planning on this being my primary for CQB mostly. However, with its accuracy and range, it'll handle field games too...

It's a very accurate replica of the real-steal version, including ambi-controls (working bolt lock/release), ambi mag release, no foward assist, ridge deflector, URX FF Rail, KAC Low Profile 600m Rear BUIS, KAC Low Profile Front BUIS, PDW Pistol Grip, and PDW Triple-Tap Brake - I know I know, I'm a gun nerd.

Here she is:

Here she is with the KAC QD Silencer:

Here's the other VFC I now have... although this one is a GBBR.

Gas Blowback, oh how I've missed you!!!

VFC MK18 MOD1.

The colouring on the furniture is much darker and more matt than in some photos I've seen, which is a huge relief. Magazines are super easy to load with the special fitting, and there are no leaks, yay!!. Mags lock back when empty, without exception. Fit and finish is tight, no wobbles. I still need to do some work on the hop, which I might do this weekend. Man, I like this gun. Oh, and the VFC QD Silencer I have fits and locks perfectly! oh yeah... and accurate licenced colt trades - Woop!

Here's a couple of pictures, but it's even more beautiful in the flesh!

Title: Re: Loadouts/Kits/General cool airsoft stuff you have.
Post by: Eightball on March 25, 2011, 09:14:19 am
Yeah it's got a slightly more realistic bolt set up to the early WE GBBs. It's based on the WA System with some modifications. WE were the only GBBR manufacturers to use a bronze tube to seal the bolt action. If you've never shot a GBBR it's definitely a whole different feel to the AEGs we use. It sounds good, a bit more subdued and snappier than my old WE... You wont confuse it with an AEG at all though.

Got home from the game and found these in my letterbox. I literally only just mentioned to Porky that I had these coming in from America at the the game today.

(http://iforce.co.nz/i/cwwcixht.s1h.jpg) (http://www.iforce.co.nz/View.aspx?i=cwwcixht.s1h.jpg)

It is really nice having a tighter fitting glove (these are Medium and my current black ones are XL).

A while back Amazon wouldn't ship these to NZ because they were categorised on the site as apparel and therefore subject to duty charges. They are now under tools and gardening if I remember correctly. I went with the el-cheapo shipping (12.28 USD) and they forecast its arrival as: via Expedited Int'l Shipping (estimated delivery date: April 11, 2011) so they got here 2 weeks "early".

TLDR: RAWR! NEW GLOVES!

Title: Re: Loadouts/Kits/General cool airsoft stuff you have.

29.37 USD.

They are pretty much always on special at Amazon (24.99 "normally" but they go for around the 17.80 mark)

Direct link to the ones I got here: http://www.amazon.com/Mechanix-MG-72-009-Original-Coyote-Medium/dp/B0019I7XAM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=industrial&qid=1301105769&sr=8-2 should be easy to find the other sizes from there.

Check the size chart on the mechanix site to figure out what you are, http://www.mechanix.com/mech_download/e0593a97906889c6c59ee948db36c7fb

Post by: Windos on April 30, 2011, 11:10:09 am
It may not look like much, but this is the new inner barrel for the MEU above.

It's a Tanio Koba Twist "Hop" barrel. Basic idea being that the rifling in it creates a cushion of air around the BB so it has a longer, straighter flight (because it doesn't hit the sides on the barrel as much on its way out.) Brought from Tokyo Model Company (http://www.tokyo-model.com.hk) for $45 USD incl. shipping.

I'll be doing a threat on test results between stock and each step of the mods I do with this pistol, in case any one else is thinking of picking one up.

(http://iforce.co.nz/i/xlxiwvgb.0yl.jpg) (http://www.iforce.co.nz/View.aspx?i=xlxiwvgb.0yl.jpg)

(http://iforce.co.nz/i/5pcg5owe.npd.jpg) (http://www.iforce.co.nz/View.aspx?i=5pcg5owe.npd.jpg)

n.b. if you are thinking of getting one, they apparently start to stop working and even being worse than a regular barrel if you're shooting over 330 - 350 odd FPS on 0.20g BBs.

Title: Re: Loadouts/Kits/General cool airsoft stuff you have.

The holster is from OP Tactical, Inc (http://www.optactical.com/) in the States and the MOLLE clip for it is from Tactical Solutions Corp (http://www.tactical.co.nz) from here in NZ.

Not the cheapest holster solution, but I think it's worth the money. From memory, the holster by iself was $65 USD including shipping...

My sidearm arrived today - Marui Glock 26
(http://iforce.co.nz/i/1clrowk5.312.jpg)
Pulled it down to grease the slide and seal the hop to the barrel. Used silicone gasket sealer for this instead of Telfon tape (you can just see the red gunk in the picture).
Now........which M4 should I buy to go with it?...........

Fresh from the US Today! My brand new London Bridge Trading 6094C in Coyote Tan. I'm also waiting on an LBT Triple M4 Kangaroo Pouch insert. I figured that since I spent a bit of money on kit, I may as well buy the real deal for a new vest:

8 that light makes it look OD.  is the picture colour accurate?  IF it is maybe the rig i'm looking for should the that colour to serve dual purposes.

CB sort of... changes depending on what it is on. It can vary a lot between green and brown depending on what camo you wear under it.

It's not as dark as OD though.

Regardless it will work on top of most patterns and colours and isn't a bad choice if you are planning on getting one chest rig and multiple sets of camo of differing colours.

Colour is wonky in that picture - white balance is all shot to hell... imagine the floor tiles are cream + black...

As Windos said though, depending on what you wear underneath it, it looks either lighter, browner, darker, or greener...

Also... It's coyote tan, LBT do a coyote brown as well... which is slightly darker. My Flyye Coyote Brown pouches are slightly darker, if you can tell.

Title: Re: Loadouts/Kits/General cool airsoft stuff you have.
Post by: Eightball on July 01, 2011, 01:30:18 pm
It's a crap ton lighter. It's also a lot less restrictive... I can shoulder a rifle easier, and punch out with a pistol without feeling pinched by the top corners, like on the CIRAS.

Just received a Falcon 6.03 tight-bore and hop up rubber for my KJW P226 which I have now installed and teflon modded. Hop rubber has a H style nub which is meant to improve accuracy. From the quick indoor shooting test I did the gun strikes defiantly sound like they hit harder than the original inner barrel but range tests will be required for proper accuracy tests.

Chrome and not Brass like the orignal and the hop up rubber is green and is a "55" degree hop rubber so is a little harder than the standard one.

Newest piece of kit turned up today

T.M.C. 6094 molle plate carrier in Khaki (closest they had to Tan or CB) from

http://www.ebairsoft.com/cordura-6094-plate-carrier-pouches-khaki-p-3595.html

Here's some pics.

I haven't attached the Admin pouch or the 2 dual M4 pouches as I don't think I will need them at this stage.

I have attached two Pantac CB pouches. The double pistol mag pouch on the right hand side and the dual M4 pouch on the right front.

Review to come after skirming it.

Whats the reason for mounting the pistol and m4 pouches on your strong side? When you've got the majority of your m4 mags on your reaction side?

Post by: Eightball on July 08, 2011, 02:34:39 pm
These are the basic ideas I start with when working out pouch placement:

1. I'm always going to be drawing the mags with my off hand - left hand.
2. I want to keep my body front forward to the target, to keep my chest plate towards what I'm shooting at. Twisting my body sideways exposes my un-protected side.
3. I reload at chest height, directly in front of me.
4. When I drop my primary to use my pistol, it blocks any pouches on my front, so I put pistol pouches on my off hand side.
5. I try and keep my right side clear so I can draw my pistol without interference.
6. I activate my PTT with my off hand - left hand, up high is good.
7. I try and keep my right shoulder clear, since I primarily shoot off that shoulder.
8. I want to keep my front relatively low profile, for going prone (like i ever go prone, but still).

There might be something useful for you to take away from this.  :D

Bit of a blurb for the whores of gear:

MK18 Mod1 Rifle

The M4 CQBR (Close Quarters Battle Receiver) is a replacement upper receiver for the M4A1 Carbine that was originally conceived by the US Naval Surface Warfare Center to provide Naval Special Forces with a light short-barreled weapon for close quarter fighting. With the tactical RIS handguard at its core, it was designed according to the same principles as the USSOCOM SPR (Special Operations Peculiar Modification) program allowing for flexible weapon configurations.

Combining its light weight and compact size with the firepower of the M4A1, the weapon is ideally suited for VIP protection, urban warfare, interior combat, and other similar CQB scenarios. As a result of its growing popularity, the weapon has been developed into a complete weapon system, not just an upper receiver; still called CQBR – but with the CQBR acronym now standing for Close Quarters Battle Rifle.

Subsequently the weapon was named as the MK18 by USSOCOM. The main difference between the Mod1 and Mod0 versions is that the original KAC tactical RIS handguard has been replaced by the Daniel Defense MK18 RIS II tactical handguard. In addition it no longer uses a traditional sight mechanism, and is has been designed so that barrel of the gun doesn’t touch the forend and tactical handguard system, thereby increasing shooting accuracy. As a result, the weapon has been widely adopted by the US Navy Seals and other Special Forces units.

Got a package from Britain this morning, had an order come in through the Elite Shooting Center. Package included a Tokyo Marui Desert Warrior frame and the black three hole trigger from the same gun. Also got a Shooters Design valve key, to make magazine maintenance a bit easier.

After swapping the guts between the old black frame and the new one my pistol now looks like this:

(http://iforce.co.nz/i/2ar1yj0i.l41.jpg) (http://www.iforce.co.nz/View.aspx?i=2ar1yj0i.l41.jpg)

(http://iforce.co.nz/i/dlyfvx4i.th4.jpg) (http://www.iforce.co.nz/View.aspx?i=dlyfvx4i.th4.jpg)

I still want the Rail Set from the Desert Warrior (I was thinking of filling the mounting holes, but I think it'll be good to be able to have a torch on there... and I don't fully trust my painting skills) and the silver barrel from the Night Warrior.

Stock came in today and fitted tonite. MAG brand cloth mag is WAAAAYYY better than the standard box mag, makes the gun alot easier to wield. G&P RAS fits nicely (thanks to alittle lovin).

Waiting on Elcan M145, a couple extra deactivated rounds for tracers. Then I have to shave down the mag release catch (as when in belt feed mode it should actually be snug against the magwell. Then its time to age this beast!!

Came with the mask (obviously), a clear regular lens, a black thermal lens, "paintball" style visor, vent plug to be double sure no paint/bbs will slip through, whole tone of paper and two bags (one for the spare lens and one for the whole mask.)

Fits great over my glasses (my main concern) and takes a lot of effort to fog up the thermal lens.

Thats a wicked knife 8, whats the background on that? and how do you find the Molle pouch for your leatherman?  Nice tight fit?

ESEE is pronounced "S" "E" wich stands for Escuela de Supervivencia (School of Survival), Escape and Evasion. It's a brand that the Randall Adventure and Training School are marketing their knives under.

http://www.eseeknives.com/

They used to be R.A.T Knives made under contract by Ontario Knife Company. Now OKC and RAT have parted company. The ESEE Knives have a no questions lifetime warranty.

Randall's Adventure and Training
® manufactured (and continues to fully guarantee) R.A.T. Cutlery knives (RC-3, RC-4, RC-5, RC-6) built from 2007 until 2010. We have changed the name of our company to ESEE Knives®. The only thing that has changed is the name. We now market our knives under the ESEE®, Izula®, and Junglas® brand names.
Randall's Adventure and Training® does not manufacture or warranty RAT knives built by Ontario Knife Company (RAT-3, RAT-5, RAT-7, RTAK, TAK and Model 1 Folder). These knives are manufactured by Ontario Knife Company even though they were designed by    Randall's Adventure and Training®.

As far as the Leatherman? It's not as snug as I would like. I'm contemplating getting another HSGI Pistol TACO and putting it in there - much better retention...

HSGI TACOs rule, you can use em for a variety of magazine shapes and sizes - The Rifle ones will fit AK Mags and hold them snug as well as Stanag or Pmag Mags. The pistol ones work well with multi-tools and torches.

btw, I bought both the knife and the multitool in NZ.

Ha ha... You must have known I was busy fumbling around the web... I've got a 20+ year old Wave but I have been looking for a decent fixed blade knife for my EDC, I was considering the Gerber River Runner until I saw your ESEE bro!

Links please.. Oh and did you get the Wave with the cap crimper?

And did you get your Taco's in NZ as well?
Title: Re: Loadouts/Kits/General cool airsoft stuff you have.
Post by: Eightball on July 25, 2012, 10:44:02 am
I couldn't justify the cap crimper.... I got the wave for $125 from itools on Trademe.

I got the ESEE from Trademe as well... The ESEE3 is a very good knife too, it's slightly thinner than the 4, better for fine work.

Search for ESEE on Trademe. I bought from Phillux60.

My reasoning for the ESEE, was based on some research about troops asking on blade-forums what knife they should take to Afghanistan.

Post by: R3CON on July 25, 2012, 11:25:30 am
I like the ESEE's too. I was looking at a KBar previously or Sog seal pup (which I think I may still go for depending on the ESEE pricing)

My Multitool is a sad $20 knock off though  :(
Title: Re: Loadouts/Kits/General cool airsoft stuff you have.
Post by: Eightball on July 25, 2012, 11:46:20 am
K-Bar or SOG make decent knives. The ESEE-3 is a good one to check out too. It's cheaper than the 4 obviously.

If you're going to actually use the knife, I would suggest doing some reading about the different steels and hardness - particularly when looking at things like chipping/edge-retention/ease of sharpening.

I personally steered clear of any blades with serrations. I suspect I might be on the road to building a knife collection.

I suspect I might be on the road to building a knife collection.

http://www.youtube.com/user/eyespy0099 (http://www.youtube.com/user/eyespy0099)

EDC guy I follow on the tubes, collects knives and the like (mainly spyder co. type folding knives if I remember correctly.)

I follow a couple of other knife collectors, but I'm sure you'll end up finding plenty of videos from people in the knife community (of which I'm not yet a part of... I just have interesting viewing habits on YouTube lmao.)

Nice piece Eight, a fine looking Magpul! and I see you're moving into Multicam...mmmmmm! Awesome camo for Hawke's Bay, especially when the field dries off (in summertime that is...), mind you it was quite effective the other week at AHB1 with everything all died down.
By the way we sell Bahco Sharp-X Sharpeners at work, if you want a good Tungsten Carbide blade sharpener...does all knives, scissor, spades, axes, etc....

TM Night Warrior/MEU Donor Parts
+ 5KU BBU
+ PDI Raven Tightbore
+ Nineball Hop Rubber
+ Hurricane Kimber Tactical Entry II Full Metal Kit

Assembled and tuned by Windos (AHB Pistolsmith). I'm sure he'll review the hurricane kit and his assembly issues at some stage.

I've yet to do much more than fondle this baby, although I can say that holding it, racking the slide, and releasing it into battery are awesome! I'll let you know how it shoots later.

Still not finished yet, but I cant help myself.

Top left to right:

Emdom MM CM Belt - 2.5"
ATS Warbelt
2 X Chinese F.A.S.T Pistol Mag copies (I brought the legit ones, but struggled to fit Airosft Pistol Mags to them, these arent much better, they're quite loose so I am working on a little DIY)
1 X Chinese F.A.S.T M4 Mag copy (Excellent fit, just as good as real steel)
Emdom-MM Dump Pouch
Emdom-MM GPS pouch (I ripped the guts out so it is a small general purpose/IFAK pouch)

Still have to order my holster (trying to find a MC safariland copy, but will prolly go for a G-code with MC fuzz on a dropleg plattform)

It's been a slow project but the ICS M16A3's conversion to an M4A1 Sopmod is finished.
As you all know, the M4 has had several changes and it's great to see the set-up how I originally pictured it.

Here's the the M16 back in August 2010 when I brought it off Porky...

and now..

Change list:
-Replaced outer barrel
-installed inner tighbore barrel
-G&P RIS M4 handguard with RIS panels.
-tango down style foregrip.
-M3X flashlight with pressure switch.
-Reflex red dot sight (prob look at acog in future)
-Backup iron sight
-Singlepoint sling mount
-Buffer tube
-LMT style stock
-A bit of dark earth(Tamiya AS-22) for the paint job.

Bloody reliable gun that I know inside and out and I'm somewhat attached to now lol.

JB - out

So, I got my new Ops-Core Lid... It arrived with some Mid-Cap AK Mags.. If you can find one of these in stock, and its in your size, I would buy it... The lead time for out of stock ones is about 12-14 weeks.... and that's from Ops-Core.

The reason I went for this rather than a clone version, is because I have such a hard time finding a helmet to fit my huge melon... This one does - perfectly!

I can't wait to game with it.

The neoprene Helmet bag is pretty cool too. It's got the Ops-Core logo and "Protecting the Elite Warrior" imprinted on the bag.

Just arrived, my latest acquisition - a set of ESAPI Non-Ballistic Training Plates from Team Wendy... and yes they weigh 5lbs each.

Quote from: Product Description
Team Wendy’s Non-Ballistic Training Plates allow you to train like you fight without risk to life-saving ballistic body armor. The training plates are made from virtually indestructible, density-modifiable, cross-linked polyurethane that will not crack or break when hit, dropped or impacted. Designed to replicate the weight, shape, curvature and thickness of actual ballistic plates, they are stiff enough to hold their shape, yet flexible enough to easily insert into any carrier. The chest plates measure 8.75” x 11.75,” weigh 5 lbs, and have a multi-curve  shape. Chest plates come in pairs of two.

Probably not. I've seen plenty of all-black 416s used by GROM.

I ended up going with a red key cap, as I like the look of a red escape key. I am sort of sad that it means I couldn't have a white skull though :P

Yeah I have two large SAPI plates in the Plate Carrier.

The detachable chestrig is cool. It means I can ditch the plate carrier if I want, and retain the same load of ammo etc.

Something to help improve my mood:

My new Mayflower Low Profile Assault Armor Carrier arrived today...

I've inserted some custom made soft armor panels (6mm closed cell foam from a gym equipment mat - few bucks at the Red Shed), and some large replica SAPI plates. Incidently it's the most comfortable armor system I've had so far.

Here it is with my Mayflower UW Gen IV Chest Rig mounted on it, and with some First Spear Shoulder pads I took from my other carrier.

Yeahhhh sorry about that bro..
How does size compare to CIRAS? looks about the same size but more snug fitting
Title: Re: Loadouts/Kits/General cool airsoft stuff you have.
Post by: Eightball on March 12, 2013, 06:42:09 pm
It's very similar to a CIRAS, but without the bulk.

Having worn a CIRAS with soft armor and plates, this is definitely more comfortable. The CIRAS uses the BALCS soft armor shape. The concealment cut soft armor on the LPAAC scoops lower under the arms, so it's not so much like wearing a barrel. The soft armor is also cut narrower across the chest, making it easier to move around in - We'll see how that translates wearing it for long periods....

I found the label for the mat I chopped up into soft armor panels:

IRONMASTER
FITNESS EQUIPMENT MAT.
SIZE: 180CM x 60CM x 0.6CM

It's black and textured.... works well.

Post by: Eightball on March 12, 2013, 07:49:48 pm
Yup... I think so.

0.6mm is about the right thickness for soft armor/plate backers. It's also about the right flexibility...

G&P Zombie Killer AEG
G&P M16a4 AEG

Broken down we have three Lower Recievers, three Upper Recievers, M16 Carry Handle, two Reflex Sights, and two Silencers. Everything is all interchangeable, so when I get the springs all sorted out I'll have one lower with M100, one with M105 and one with M110

So, finally into my hot little hands is my new primary. It's a "Tackleberry" custom Systema PTW, imported from the UK, consisting of the following:

M4A1 SCK MAX II Ambi (built with all mods done, Semi only, 350fps)
 Prime Colt Lower Receiver
Madbull DD RIS II 12.5" (includes machine work for fit) FDE
 Low Profile Gas Block
Box of 6 Systema HW M16 Mags
 2x Battery

 I've then added:
 TD Vertical Grip (DE)*
KAC Flip up front BUIS (DE)*
 MATECH Flip up rear BUIS*
 LE Stock*
 CQD sling mount (front)*
 VTAC Padded Sling
 SpectreDR*
 Surefire M952v (Tan)

 *replicas

Now I just need to buy an M130 Cylinder, fix the mount on my T-1 Micro, fit the Magpul CTR Stock without ripping up my fingers, and paint it.

Post by: Amoki on January 06, 2014, 10:11:33 pm
LOL, hell no - that's a TAD Stealth LT. Though the TAD patch was a dead give-away.

You can get a Beyond PCU (they do custom sizing actually) easy through beyondclothing.com. But it's not worth it: Nextec EPIC as a fabric will only function well as a softshell if it does not come into skin contact or if the weave is tight enough (that's why Pantagonia PCU are worth so much $$$). Moment you have body oil, sweat etc on it you lose water repellancy. When that happens even a small drizzle will soak through your jacket. You also can't use ordinary washing powder to wash it, and even if you used NikWax Techwash it's only a matter of days before your PCU loses water repellancy if you use it as everyday wear. Oh, and treating it with Nikwax waterproofing will not work either.

There was a guy on Gearsoc whose Beyond PCU frayed on him a day after he wore them to the range with a plate carrier - can't find the thread anymore, but it definitely existed.

Oh yeah, this thread: http://board.gearsoc.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9580&start=15

In short: PCU L5 is an awesome vapour layer and quick-dry softshell, but it is definitely not something you want to use as an everyday softshell. That'll be the TAD Steath LT :D

PDW/Side arm M4 I've been working on over the weekend. Just finished it tonight. The battery box at the back is a bit bulkier than I had planned it to be, but function over fashion I guess...

It clips onto my G-code RTI platform so it sits firmly against my waist on my belt. Can't wait to game it :p

Where does the Drum mag fit on?

Haha, it definitely wouldn't sit nicely in my hip with a drum mag...

SICK!

What pistol grip is that? is it compatible with a G&G M4?

It's a G16 grip, quite a lot of manufacturers make them... they should fit on a G&G, grips are pretty universal.
